Tap Turners are also excellent Bathroom Aids for persons with Mobility Impairments, the elderly or persons with poor grip, they are inexpensive, practical and can be used for bathroom or kitchen.
Generally made from strong moulded ABS plastic, they are easy to fit and adjustable to suit almost any size of crystal or crosshead tap. They simply hook over the top of any X type tap, giving the user extra leverage for turning taps.

b) Anti-Slip Bath and Shower Mats
Non-slip bath and shower mats are designed to enhance comfort and safety in the bathroom. The Tenura Aqua Safe Anti Slip Bath and Shower Discs helps to prevent slips and falls in dry and wet conditions, they are made from a strong non abrasive material which is very kind to bare skin. The Tenura anti slip bath and shower stickers are a convenient, efficient and a super aesthetic way of applying a non slip surface to your bath without ruining the look of your bathroom.

Some persons with Mobility Impairments prefer to bath. Many bathrooms have baths already installed, but these baths are not always easy to get in and out of. There are however a variety of products, including the Anti-slip Bath Mats and Bath Grab Rails mentioned above, and Bath Steps and Bath Lifts below to help prevent you from slipping in the bath and to assist you to get in or out of the bath safely.

b) Bath Chairs and Benches
Bath Benches, Bath Boards, Bath Swivel Seats and Bath Chairs are all Bath Aids that assist you to make your bath more comfortable, safer and to keep you from slipping getting or out of the bath.
A Bath Chair specifically provides a stable, seated position for bathing, reducing the risk of falls and slips, particularly in wet and slippery conditions. These chairs are beneficial for individuals with mobility limitations, those recovering from surgery or injury, or anyone who finds it difficult to stand for extended periods. They can also be helpful for caregivers, providing a secure and comfortable way to assist with bathing
This slatted bath bench/seat has suction pads to secure it in the bath, as well as slats which allow for easy water drainage. It is best used in conjunction with a Bath Board and has a maximum weight of 90kg and seat size of 45 x 30cm with a height of 18cm.

is a turning bath seat that allows easy transfer over the bath. The user sits on the seat from the side of the bath and then swivels over the bath for a wash or shower. It rests on any standard bath, no fixtures or fittings are required and it is easy to remove from the bath or to clean the plastic seat, which has small drainage holes.
It has non slip arms to secure the seat to the bath and the critical turning components are stainless steel to ensure long-term reliability. The comfortable seat provides back and arm support and is ideal for people who feel insecure on a bath board.
It includes an adjustable positioning screw to prevent accidental slipping. The seat locks in both the transfer (facing the side) and the showering position (facing over the bath tub). Bath Lifts are available in different types in order to lower persons with Mobility Impairments down into the bath, you will need to choose one that is suited to meet your needs, some of these lifts are easy to install, while other Bath Lifts may require slight alterations to your bathroom to be able to install these lifts.
Bath lifts offer powered movement to aid people with low mobility to immerse themselves into a bath while comfortably seated.

3. Shower Aids
If you have mobility Impairment and prefer to shower, you will require a Showering Aid to assist you – and you will probably need to do alterations to make your shower more open plan and Wheelchair Accessible.

Shower commodes differ from standard commodes in two primary ways: 1. They are waterproof and rust-proof and 2. They always have wheels.
Shower commodes with wheels are designed for individuals with severe mobility impairments who require assistance not only in the bathroom, but moving between the bed, toilet, and shower. These versatile chairs can be wheeled from the bed, over the toilet or into the shower, reducing the need for multiple transfers and increasing comfort and hygiene.
Typically made from rust-resistant materials like aluminum, they include features such as a removable pail, flip-back armrests, and cushioned seats for added comfort and support. If you have recently undergone an operation, or are unable to sit up, you may need to use a Shower Trolley to be able to shower.
These trollies are designed to assist less able clients to maintain hygienic regimens when unable to rise or move independently.

4. Toilet Aids
Disabled Toilets and Toileting Aids are designed to assist a person in the bathroom, making the toilet experience safer, and easier whilst respecting their privacy. Toilet Aids are particularly helpful for persons with Mobility Impairments and the elderly helping a person get on and off the toilet with ease, and thereby maintaining their dignity and independence in their home or in public bathrooms.

a) Commodes
Standard commodes are primarily used as bedside toilets for individuals whose mobility is limited.
They consist of a sturdy frame and a removable waste receptacle that can be easily removed and emptied. Some have lockable wheels, some have no wheels – and are simply placed where needed, whether next to the bed, or over the toilet.
Commodes come in various styles, with a variety of features including: height-adjustable models, those with padded seats for added comfort and stability, and fixed or flip-up armrests for ease of transfer.
